Summer is Director of Teaching and Learning at the East London Science School, where she also leads the English and Languages Faculty. Summer read English and Classics at the University of St Andrews, before completing a PGCE at Kings College London and has been teaching in London schools since 2008. Summer blogs and tweets about education and regularly speaks at teaching events, which have included BETT Futures, WomenEd and ResearchEd. Summer has recently been commissioned to write a book for Bloomsbury on Curriculum Design and Assessment, which will be
out later this year.
