Mary Roche Dip Ed MA PhD: a former primary teacher, Mary lectured in primary English in MIC, and on Action Research in UCC, and now lectures in education in St Patrick’s College Thurles. Her publications include Developing Children’s Critical Thinking through Picturebooks (Routledge 2015, highly commended Academic Book Award UKLA 2015). She co-authored Learning Communities in Educational Partnerships. (Bloomsbury 2017 forthcoming); Introducing Critical Reflection and Action for Teacher Researchers. (Routledge 2016 forthcoming); Enhancing Practice through Classroom Research (Routledge 2012). Recent papers include: Roche, M.
